Be aware that AMG,before Daimler bought it out was small tuning company. It would convert individual customers both in Germany But also in the UK (Stoddards) and the USA ( RennTech) with AMG Japan and Australia . The Australian concern was tiny.
So most cars converted were privately owned cars that were converted after being bought through a dealer and some were not even new cars .
This all means that your car is simply a 6.9 with a body kit, recaro\'s,wheels and maybe the sport struts that Mercedes offered at one time. If it is a full conversion,the cams will be stamped AMG on the rear end.
The only real AMG 6.9 engine I have ever seen is the 7.0 liter unit in the green 350SLC in the USA .

Talk with your local Glasurit dealer. The Normal process is to strip the old paint off with normal paint stripper. it will not affect the ABS plastic. Use plastic bumper primer and colour coats (again,ask the glasurit people for the correct stuff).
Simply screw the spoiler into place and and it will fit. The bumper paints are very flexible.:-)

ha ha, you are being a bit harsh . i think the original engine is quite good and if coupled with a five speed trans and the diff from a Diesel 180D ponton would make a more relaxed car. A better induction with EFi would work wonders too. Disc brakes from a W111 can be made to fit ( same king pins but different spindles) .
And how much do you people spend on these cars? I finished one last year for a client...$250,000 .:-|

I am sure this was not a AMG Conversion but one done here in Australia using a STT Kit. I have one on my 300D W123.:-)

You are Right, why bother doing this conversion? It would appear that they have a 300SEL 3.5 donor car for most of the parts .:-)
