here is a set on a W123..

I dont think the early ones were magnesium, it\'s a difficult metal to use for wheels as it oxidises continually ,although the Mercedes m180 engines used Magneium fan blades from 1955 to 1965 . They are interesting things to drop in the BBQ....:-D
