The local Norma supplier refuses to supply these ,and very few of us who restore old mercedes buy them. Supply and demand... I demand,they wont supply..

Hi, i am having trouble finding band type clamps for W121-W112 mercedes, namely Norma Normetta. The local supplier refuses to import them ...:-|
Anyone have a reliable source in Germany who can ship to Australia?:-)

We did this differently, we used the basic design of the M186 piston but raised the floor of the combustion chamber part as in the M189 engine . This could be what AMG did . They work very well .

I have built a m186 engine last year with new pistons. To save costs I had them made by JE pistons in the USA. Total cost for 6 pistons,rings and pins was less than one genuine piston from Daimler AG. JE Pistons USA.
The pistons were made to resemble M189 pistons(9.5-1 compressionj now) and with a gullwing cam profile the car now really moves!! It\'s a 1955 3-0-0 B .

I have some M189 engines here, a supercharged M189 would be perfect for one of these replicas . .....So many dreams,so little money....:-D
