Probably i would prefer the different wheels, but otherwise- one of the best looking W220 i have ever seen. Nice and clean Carlsson aero kit and everything in black- yummy:-)

Those "M3- style" side mirrors are not my style and i would probably prefer the different wheels, but otherwise a very nice Gaz/ Volga. Seems so much work and care were put in it;-)

i think those are "a half/ partial original" side- markers for the U.S. Only the "completely original" ones has to be in orange, not white;-)

Inspiration for the Hamann Volcano?




Sorry, but it looks as cheap as RC car models for kids,- and this yellow/ black combination is the most horrible one. By the way the widened rear wheel arches doesn\'t fit the design of whole car and the front arches which have completely different form. The design (doesn\'t matter good or bad) isn\'t maintaind for the whole body kit- shame on the Hamann designers. (do they have one? ) Not to mention those LEDS:-|

The world is coming to it\'s end:-)

Maybe we are thinking about the different cars, but i remember there was W126 with M119 V8 with 6,3L for sale on mobile sometime ago. It was tuned by KLS- Motorenbau, not by Loewer.

Loewer also offered M119 V8 5,0 engines for W124 (one for sale on mobile at the moment) and M104 3,0 - 24V engines for W201. (also with automatic gearboxes i think) (and somewhat as fast as 190E 2,5 - 16)

As far as i understand in Germany tuning comany is labeled as "manufacturer" if the engine is replaced with the one which isn\'t/ wasn\'t offered for the particular model. (Brabus and Hartge with all their engine swaps are manufacturers for this reason)

I don\'t think that Bodo has forgotten anything.

Brabus remains almost the only tuner who still (as in the "good old times" ) makes engine transplantations/ swaps in cars such like Rocket, Bullit and others.

Brabus still (and it seems that they are almost the only ones, with Vaeth) prefers "Hubraum ist nichts su ersetzen" philosophy. While the others switched to simple "chip tuning" (sometimes with cams/ nockenwellen it isn\'t so "cheap" ) or installing superchargers/ kompressors.

The ones who lost their faces completely are Lorinser and especially Carlsson:-(

Fantastic car, the original was and remains my favourite one;-)

I have read the article but didn\'t find any info on what happened to the original/ real one,- does anybody know? I have a feeling that it was later transformed into 190E 3,6S - 24 with the new engine based on M104, or am i wrong? (I think i last saw 190E 3,6S - 24 on some UK based MB forum mentioning that it is owned by someone in UK)

Also the article mentions, that it was tested by "Rallye Racing" magazine, does anybody know the exact number of the mag? I have seen tests in Sport Auto and Auto Zeitung, but never seen Brabus 190E 3,6S Leichtbau tested in Rallye Racing. (only a "regular" 190E 3,5 )

Carlsson C56

I think those C56 engines are very rare, because we usually see C62 models (not in W202 though) (6,2 L 425PS, 628 Nm)

I think next year (1996 or 1997) Carlsson presented W202 C62 with engine mentioned above and 292km/h 0-100km/h - 4,8 S. - but i have never seen that car for sale or smth like that.

Another rare Carlsson for sale (again not original looks any more)

Hello everybody,

i have been Mercedes tuning fan and reading this forum for ages. I have been collecting everything about Brabus and Carlsson companies for a long time and have a huge collection about them.

But now i am thinking about selling my collection- i wonder does anybody of You would be interested purchasing it?

There are number of Brabus and Carlsson Programs, Pricelists, Prospects (from 1984 - to 2000) and what\'s more- hundreads of tests of those cars- from various German, French, Russian and English magazines. There are many tests of other tuned Mercedes cars- by such companies as AMG, Hagmann, Renntech, Boschert, Lowe, Lonnemann, Schulz, Lorinser, Lotec and others:)

If there would be any interest- then i will post the complete list of all the material i have- just it will take plenty of time- so i would like to know if it is required.

Also please note, that at the moment i am thinking of selling only complete collection- not separate folders, pricelists or test articles.
